What you need to know about renting a vintage car

The price includes 200 km per rental day. Additional kilometres will be charged extra at CHF 0.75 per kilometre.

The vehicles are covered by third-party liability and comprehensive insurance. In the event of damage, the following costs are borne by the lessor:

•  Excess for own-damage claim CHF 1000

•  Excess for third-party liability claim CHF 1000

•  Loss of bonus 

The vehicles are in perfect technical condition and are regularly checked and serviced by our classic car specialists. 

Our vintage cars have been around for a few decades and are therefore equipped with the technology that was available at the time of their production. Driving these vehicles is not difficult, but requires attentive and anticipatory behaviour in road traffic, as the active and passive safety systems are not comparable to today’s standards. 

Driving in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the neighbouring countries of Italy, Germany, France and Austria is possible. In the event of a breakdown, our vehicles are also insured in these countries with Totalmobil breakdown assistance.

Yes, participation in vintage car events is possible in principle, as long as a maximum speed does not apply to the scoring basis or the classification factor is not based on the best (shortest) driving time. Speed races or races with clocking are not allowed.

Renters and drivers must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid category B driving licence for at least 12 months. 

No. Our vehicles have petrol engines that can be refuelled with unleaded petrol at any petrol station.

In case of events such as accident, theft (burglary/theft/embezzlement, etc.), loss, fire, damage caused by animals or other damage, you must notify the police and obtain a police report. This also applies in the case of at-fault accidents not involving third parties. In the event of theft, the vehicle keys, a report on how the theft occurred and the police report must be submitted to the rental company within 24 hours. 

The return must take place on the agreed date. The vehicle must be returned with a full tank and be in the same condition as when it was rented out.
